Sad News

While calling to find classmates we found out some sad news. Our classmate, Brian Eggett, passed away in a hiking accident nearly 3 years ago. We want to extend our belated condolences to his family. If any of you would like to share pictures or memories of Brian please e-mail us.

Reminder

For those who are just hearing about the reunion and also as a reminder for everyone else we just wanted to post what we have planned for the reunion. Brent Daley is planning a family activity at his farm on Friday Sept. 4th starting at 4pm. He will be barbecuing for $5 per person or you are welcome to bring a picnic dinner of your own. Please RSVP to Brent and let him know. He is also inviting everyone to camp on his farm for the weekend if you would like. His e-mail is brent.daley@nebo.edu.

Saturday night we will be having a dinner at Olson's Garden Shop reception area at 6pm. A Viking's Feast will be catering the meal. We are having their "famous" pasta bar. It is delicious! We will also be having a dessert made by our classmate Lisa Morrison Montague's chocolate company, Sweet Creations by funfinity. You must pay for this event ahead of time. It's getting closer!

Before we know it our reunion will be here! We have less than 3 months to go! We recently sent out our second e-mail with more details about the upcoming reunion. Again, if you did not receive it please contact us! We have heard back from many and are looking forward to hearing from everyone. Some have already said they will be unable to come. Tamra Farr sent an e-mail, unfortunately, she will not be able make it. She wishes everyone well. She lives in the greater Seattle area with her husband and 2 children. We will miss her at the reunion.

Dinner must be paid for in advance. You can pay online using the PayPal button on top right-hand side of the blog. Tickets are $21 per person. If you are bringing someone with you, make sure to purchase two tickets. When you purchase the tickets make sure to include your name (maiden name if you are married and have a new name) and the name(s) of any other individuals for whom you are purchasing tickets. This can be done at checkout. There is an option to include notes for the merchant...you can put your name there. Make sure to print a copy of the receipt. It will serve as your ticket for dinner. Otherwise, the caterer will have no way to know if you have paid (**the caterer will not be accepting payment on the night of the reunion).

If you want to save a dollar, you can mail a check to Jamie Olson Rolfe. Email her at jamieorolfe@yahoo.com to get her address. Instead of sending you an actual ticket, she will make a list of people who have sent her money.

All tickets must be purchased by August 21!! This is to ensure the caterer knows how many plates to prepare.

Update

We are getting ready to send out our 2nd e-mail. If you didn't get the 1st please e-mail us with your info! We heard back from a lot of you and think the reunion will be a hit! Unfortunately, some have already said they will be unable to attend. One of them is Mike Ashton. He did update us on his life. He is living in a small town near Lake Tahoe and works at the local high school. He recently earned his Masters degree through the University of Nevada, Reno. He has 3 children, a son age 8, a daughter age 6 and another son age 2. It was great to hear from him and we'll all miss him at the reunion!

Welcome Tammy Bingham

We are happy to add Tammy Bingham to our class list. Be sure to check out her blog. Tammy is especially in our thoughts and prayers at this time, as her dad was just put on hospice battling cancer. We wish your family the best Tammy!

Wow, Who Knew!

Who knew it was so hard to send out a mass e-mail. I guess they are trying to protect us from all the spammers out there (which I totally appreciate), but come on! Does it really have to be impossible to send an e-mail out to more than 9 people at a time???? We ended up having to change our e-mail address yet again, because the Gmail account for some reason wouldn't send the message out at all. The new address is phslions1994@yahoo.com. Sorry for the confusion and change. I am sure there was a way to get it to work, but since I am computer illiterate, it was easier to just open a new account.
So, this time we really did send an e-mail out. We have heard back form several of you, so we know that it did go out. If you didn't receive it please let us know so we can get your correct e-mail address. We had a list from the last reunion that had e-mails on it, but a lot of the addresses are not correct. If you didn't get the e-mail you can either leave a comment on here with your correct address, or you can leave an e-mail at phslions1994@yahoo.com.
